White Rabbit Red Rabbit

Nov 30

Arc Theatre

Approximate Running Time: 70 minutes no intermission
Recommended Age: 14 and up – contains strong language and themes

In White Rabbit Red Rabbit a single actor walks onstage, opens a sealed envelope and performs a play they’ve never seen or read before. Playwright Nassim Soleimanpour’s script is top secret but he is open about the fact that, confined to his native Iran for refusing to take part in mandatory military service, this play is his way of connecting with people across the world.

A global sensation veiled in mystery, it’s a one of a kind theatrical experience full of surprises where the play stays the same but the production changes drastically each night.

Performed by the likes of famous actors like Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg, Wayne Brady, Cynthia Nixon and more, it’s now Milwaukee Rep’s turn to deliver that sealed envelope to Milwaukee audiences. Experience a performance of this intimate and never to be repeated show that both actor and audience are asked to keep a complete secret when they leave.

"A stunning piece of theatre, thought-provoking and morally unsettling." - Fringereview
