Sporting Events in Milwaukee

Milwaukee is home to noted museums including the Milwaukee Public Museum, Discovery World Museum, Betty Brinn Children's Museum, Harley-Davidson Museum, National Bobble Head Hall of Fame and Museum , Humphrey IMAX Theater and the very popular Milwaukee Art Museum, which welcomes nearly 400,000 visitors each year.

Milwaukee Art Museum

Set along the lakefront, the Milwaukee Art Museum's far-reaching holdings include more than 25,000 works spanning antiquity to the present day. With a history dating back to 1888, the Museum houses a collection with strengths in 19th- and 20th-century American and European art, contemporary art, American decorative arts, and folk and self-taught art. The Museum includes the Santiago Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion, named by Time magazine as "Best Design of 2001."

Festivals

Milwaukee is famed for its festivals, especially during summer. The Summerfest Grounds (Henry W. Maier Festival Park) host the summer's biggest parties, and no matter what time you arrive, you'll hear the buzz about the festivities. After all, Summerfest is the world's largest music festival, featuring 11 days of renowned entertainment on 12 music stages, as well as great food and drink. Top acts play the open-air American Family Insurance Amphitheater with views of Lake Michigan.
